Thirty (30) pieces of this Railway Gun were commissioned by the German Wehrmacht. One piece survived the war and now stands at a U.S. Army Museum in Aberdeen, Maryland. Another K5 gun is in the Musée du Mer d'Atlantique in France. K5 batteries participated in all major campaigns, were on the French canal coast, and during the war were attacked on almost all front sections with artillery centerings.
