Henry appeared in the first book of the Thomas the Tank Engine books called the Railway Series. Henry is one of the oldest characters in the series and has two books dedicated to him. He has been shown to be quite the hard worker yet at times can be somewhat arrogant as well. He has a tendency to become ill quite frequently. Henry is respectful to the smaller engines and can be used to pull just about anything if needed.
