The AVE 100, produced by ALSTROM, was first put into operation in 1992. Since then, 24 of these high-speed trains
have been put into operation on the Madrid-Seville routes. In order to travel these distances, the train is
equipped with four different current and seven different signal systems. With an output of 8800kW, the AVE
can reach a speed of 300km/h (186.4 mph) when riding on the high-speed track sections of the routes.
