TAKI 35000 is a "standard tank car", which was jointly designed by train car manufacturers for the first time. Since 1966, 1,108 cars of this 35 ton tank car have been manufactured. Ever since JNR era, it had been used in many regions in Japan until it was recently taken over by the scuccessors, TAKI 43000 or TAKI 1000.
